I teach classes and workshops on mask-making and mask-play/performance to both adults and youth.
My performance techniques focus on the expressive and transformative effects of maskwork -
- developing relationship to the body as an expressive organ
- the complexities of interpersonal status & relationship
- exploration of personal and collective archetypal journeys
- the reintegration of play as essential to the human experience
My crafting workshops explore the basic artistic elements of form, composition, concept, and materials through the context of the ancient and global lineage of mask-making. Classes can be tailored to focus on cultural, zoological, psychological, or spiritual elements.
I have worked with all ages ranging from pre-school to professional performance artists. I offer a range of class formats, from single-day playshops to multi-week play & crafting series.
If you would like to bring my work to your school, community/arts center, or event, feel free to use the form below or simply email me at: laugh (at) tigrebailando (dot) com.
I look forward to working with you!
